Workbench::Getting Started

After Installation

After you have installed Workbench for the first time you will want to setup your PHP Parsing first. To do this click on the Tools menu and select "Options" from the pulldown.

Once the Preferences dialog has opened select the option in the tree on the left for PHP Parsing. If you want to use a local PHP installation (for example the PHP that was included with the installation package) you will want to select "Calling the local PHP CGI Interpreter directly". Otherwise if you would like to use a webserver for the parsing the correct choice would be "Using an existing web server (local or remote)".

If you chose option #1 (PHP CGI) then you will next want to click on the tree option for PHP Interpreter and click on the "Browser" button to find the location of php.exe. If you installed PHP with Maguma Workbench then you would typically find it located in C:\Program Files\Maguma Workbench\php\.

If you have chosen to use a local or remote web server then you will want to click on the preferences option "Server Settings" and define the location of the document root for files to be parsed and the protocol, hostname and possibly url path (i.e. http://localhost/)

Once you have chosen your settings you can click on the "OK" button to save these settings and return to Workbench.
